I still see Steve Martin jumping for joy, yelling "The New Phone Book's Here." We have several on hand because many people we know still live in the same place.

Ah the beloved phone book. What better resource than the phone book to make prank calls to strangers. Somehow that didn’t seem weird back then but would be today and more annoying.

But what else do you do on a Saturday night in small town America when you are in junior high ?

But somehow it just wasn’t cruel then like it would be today if kids did that.

Honestly, getting a crank call seems far less annoying than all the spam/telemarketing calls we get bombarded with.
