Fellow withered crone here. The other day I was thinking about how for every thing that tech has made easier in my life, it has made two other things more difficult.
I remember introducing my faculty in the Montvale school system to the internet. In one afternoon I taught them how to make a search on Yahoo, how to check the radar on the weather channel, and how they could tell where the leaves were at their peak, and facts on Christopher Columbus. (The day was Columbus Day ) They were all amazed how easy and quick you could find the answers. It was a beginning of a small country road that would become a six lane highway !!!
A VERY long time ago I remember our high school librarian trying to introduce us to the internet via a media center computer and our our school's Prodigy account. I remember at the time thinking it was basically a microfiche machine, but oh how wrong I was!
What a wonderful read! I try to keep the doomsday conversations, both in real life and on the internet, at bay but it’s not easy. It’s still a lovely planet and most people are still nice, as well as being out in nature. Keep the faith!😘 ( and hope you find the perfect shower elbow)
I went internet dark in terms of social media for months when my rage and rhetoric got out of hand. This time around, I'm not sure what the heck to do, but a set of noise-deadening headphones, coupled with a diet exclusively composed of sinful flavors of gourmet ice cream are looking better by the day.

Yup, the old one step forward two steps back!
That was a beautiful message, Alissa! And one that so badly needs to be heard across the "hellscape."
Thanks, Steve!

Thanks, Mom!

This is not a bad plan. Have you considered a career as a life coach or wellness guru? ;-)
I needed this read this week. I'm about ready to leave all the social media and throw my smart phone in a river.
